I wouldn't say a word. In fact, I would do the opposite and convince people that they would never give Asian minis out for bday presents.

Seriously though, I could see them giving the Asian minis with incredibly low drop rates.

Everybody thought about asian minis...what if they were something else instead, for example wik minis? after all they've never been in gifts, and while not by far as rare as asian ones they still mark as rare.

The only thing it is safe to assume at this point is that any mini that is already in the game, but hasn't dropped out of the presents in the past is a candidate for dropping, or that it is bugged and not working as intended.

I would be quiet initially and sale it quickly, then post all of the evidence so I could afford the others I don't have...

Then re-buy the original 7th prezzy at 1/2 the sales price...

Don't know if this has been said yet. The change of them handing out new/old minis for any given character when the 7th year birthday celebrations end might be up there. If GW2 will be released in the next few months or so, only a handful of gw players will be able to get that 7th mini within the time frame of GW2 release. Maybe they'll just release a new/old mini as a celebration of gw being 7 years old, not your char being 7 years old.

Just saw this for sale in Kamadan. He showed it in trade and it looks legit. Said it was from a present and I'm inclined to believe him. Name removed in case he doesn't want to be identified on the forum.

That's just a dedicated naga (:, but i must agree there's a lot of people selling naga's nowadays, i've seend 10+ in kama in a week time (from different persons lol)

New minis would have to be added to the GW.dat file (database) and they have not. So unless it's previously added but unreleased miniatures we are talking about nothing new is added to game and the rares are old ones.

That's what I was getting at, that the "new" mini were just rare old ones. Sorry if that didn't make sense.

So we're expecting some old minis that weren't in a present before, and there's an unusual number of them for sale since the presents showed up, and there's a guy claiming it came from a present. I'm ready to call that a possible present result, personally.

People will always try to drive the price of something that is new up, regardless of if it's actually worth that price or not. Everything starts out at a crazy expensive price, then finally settles down to a normal, average price.

IMO, these presents are currently 25-40e. If someone actually gets a rare rare mini, I think the price would skyrocket, for awhile. Then slowly settle back down to a more reasonable range.

This is just MY opinion/thinking though. Could be way off kilter, who knows.

I'm open to the fact that there is, however, and I'd encourage everyone else to do the same.

I have an idea.

How about 20 of us all buy 50 presents each at an agreed price, then we each post a video of us opening all of them. That's 1,000 presents.

I don't want this thread to turn into a mathematical discussion but I think having solid proof of 1,000 presents being opened will help in determining if the presents do indeed have other minis besides old birthday minis.

I realize that even if nothing special comes out of the presents that it could still mean that the special minis are very, very, very rare. But 1,000 opened 7th year presents would be good documentation to have.
